HNT: Your shirt

I still have it.
I didn't mean to keep it this long.
I just needed something to wear to work.
And now it's across the ocean
Like I am.
I really meant to give it back
But somehow never found the time.
That happens a lot
With you and I.
So for the time being
Can we pretend
You didn't know I kept it
Or brought it with me
Or noticed that it
doesn't smell like you any more?
Or that I wear it
When I want to feel like something
Anything
From home still embraces me.
Then I can bring it back to you
With me, as well.
If you want it back,
that is.

I love what you wrote, it's so interesting how things can be our reminders. How this shirt is your version of a hug from home. Which I'm sure you needed today. Thank you for taking the time to share part of your gorgeous mind and body with us today. That shirt looks pretty damn good on you too I might add.

Beautiful photo, and interesting story to accompany it. Interesting, isn't it, how inanimate objects can remind one, or even take the place of, absent lovers. Especially objects like this shirt that are so close to you.

People's scent left behind on their clothing...

Definitely done the same thing before, and was disappointed when the smell left.
